I enjoyed its nice modern and beautifully decorated rooms.

The staff were lively and helpful and the location was good to local shop.

The staff is active and excellent as well as hotel's host. The location is perfect and magnificent, in a quiet area.

Everything was spotless with good-sized and brand-new rooms. Rooms with 2 single beds had a quiet atmosphere. Extra touches like a nice balcony and a hair dryer were a treat, staff were amazing friendly and active.

The hotel staff was relaxed.

I had an extremely spacious room with good facilities as well as the balcony and everything was spotless. The breakfast had a great selection of lovely food and drinks. The staff was very good and courteous all that time.

Comfy room, outstanding, with TV, the bar, all facilities. Gorgeous and fantastic meals.

The bed was comfy, best sleep ever. Adjacent to Holywells Park, 15 minutes' walk to Ipswich train station. Perfect for city trip. There is a good food option within 500 ft - Starfish.

There was parking. Vacation base for weekend in Ipswich. We loved staying at shipwrights arms;))

2nd time of staying here, will be staying here again soon.

nice room

no hot water, no food facities as no chef, unable to get breakfast, poor reception for tv ,very thin walls couple next door very loud!,i called but ended up boiling kettles for bath, No chance of getting milk or more tea for the room.

We were visiting Ipswich to meet some friends and found our way to the hotel very easily. The rooms are in a separate building to the pub part of the property and, during our visit, were nice and quiet. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The 'full English' breakfast was particularly good - and I believe I speak as an expert!

The location is a little off-putting at first glance being in a not particularly well maintained side street but we could park off street at the rear of the building so this didn't worry us too much.

Warm welcome throughout our shot stop over. The room was spacious and the beds were very comfortable. The cooked breakfast was excellent add to this the kind offer of a 7:20am Sunday morning breakfast just to suit our plans for the day, not many places would do that n a Sunday morning.. Wouls I stay again... Yes.

Electric shower a bit "iffy" Off street parking is limited. Other than that no problems at all.

Great modern bedroom with very comfy bed. Fantastic English Breakfast. Lively pub with cheery, friendly and very helpful owners. Great rear Beer Garden for when it's sunny

We stayed on a Saturday night and had a very pleasant stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful.The hotel is an easy walk into the town centre. There is parking on site and the rooms are clean and very comfortable. it all comes at a very reasonable price too. Would certainly go again :)

Mac, Annie and Simone were a wonderful duo of happy faces who go the extra mile to please all customers. We enjoyed our brief stay and will certainly return. The food, drink and breakfast were very reasonably priced and excellent quality. The room was comfortable with free WiFi access. I have read in previous reviews that the water was cold, I never experienced this. To conclude a very pleasant hotel, close to town centre and marina complex, very reasonably priced.
